FAQ

Below are the most frequently asked questions our customers direct to our sales team. If you would like more detailed technical or commercial information, we invite you to visit our office or contact us by phone:

What is the difference between a geodesic dome and an inflatable tent?

The difference lies in the tent’s load-bearing structure, the materials used, and the overall construction technology. Geodesic tents feature a tubular frame made of interconnected pipes, onto which a vinyl-coated PVC cover is mounted to form the walls and roof. Inflatable tents, on the other hand, are supported entirely by air pressure, with double-layered walls filled with pumped air. In both cases, the tents are easy to assemble and transport, which is their biggest advantage. When folded, the tent fits on a standard warehouse pallet.

How long does it take to set up such a tent?

Inflatable tents can be set up in under 1 hour, special constructions take up to 2 hours, and geodesic tents require between 3 and 12 hours depending on the size, additional equipment, and ground anchoring options.

How do tents perform in winter conditions?

Tents can be used even in sub-zero temperatures. In heavy snowfall, their sharp-angled roof design helps prevent snow accumulation. However, when snow is very wet and heavy, it may start to build up, and any layer thicker than 5 cm should be removed. It’s worth noting that the tents are 100% resistant to water penetration and cold wind.

Are geodesic tents heated?

Yes, tents can be heated using either oil or electric heaters. Electric heating systems are installed inside the tent, distributing warm air via induction. Oil heaters are placed outside, and the heated air is delivered into the tent through a dedicated duct. The time required to heat the air inside the tent to over 18°C is typically between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the tent’s volume.

What about heating inflatable tents?

Only internal electric heaters are used, but thanks to the tent’s thicker, double-layered walls with an air cushion, there is a natural temperature difference of about 7°C higher compared to the outside environment. This results in significant energy savings, and in many cases, heating can be completely avoided or used only occasionally for initial warming.

What are the safety restrictions when it comes to using the tent? I assume we can’t light a bonfire inside, but what about things like sparklers on cakes during events, or sound systems?

Naturally, inside the tents and in their immediate surroundings, any activities that could pose a fire hazard must be strictly avoided. This is clearly outlined in health and safety regulations, and as with any enclosed space, a fire extinguisher must be present. The ban on smoking in indoor and public spaces—except in designated areas—goes without saying. Sound systems are not a problem, as the tent walls are good acoustic absorbers and do not cause vibrations in the structure.

And the smallest tent? What is the minimum space required to set up the smallest tent?

The minimum space required for the smallest tent we offer is 5 square meters, which means a tent with 5-meter-long walls on each side. While this may seem like a lot at first, once you take into account the interior furnishings, it quickly becomes clear that anything smaller would feel too cramped. This tent is also designed to be versatile — it may serve as a party tent one time, and a drive-in space for a vehicle the next.

What about tent maintenance and cleanliness?

This is another important feature. The tents are made of synthetic, biostable materials that are easy to clean, even from stubborn dirt, using the right cleaning agents and pressure washing.

What color options are available for the tents?

The color can be fully customized, as these tents also serve as a medium for branding and advertising. It all depends on the design.
